Ohio Life Insurance 101
Life Insurance 101
Life insurance is one of the last things you think about needing.
Food, clothes, bills, kids and cars are all things you think about before life insurance. If we are really being honest with each other that list would be a lot longer.

But, there is hope, because you thought about it enough today to find this page.
In hopes of not wasting your valiant effort I'm going to tell you everything you need to know about it.
Let's Get Started
Why and When You Need It?
If You're Married
When you say "I do" you're putting yourself on the hook for someone other than just yourself. If you're unexpectedly not there anymore what are the chances your spouse would be able to handle the cost of the life you built together?
Even if they could, why would you want to make things harder than they need to be?

If You're Married and have Kids
This is hands down the most offensive scenario for you to ignore life insurance. Not only having it, but having enough.
You don’t get a second chance when you die. The life insurance you do or do not have is a mistake that can never be corrected. It’s also one your kids will feel the impact of most of their young life.
That is of course on top of not having you in their life to help shape and mold them into the person they’ll become.
I know, this is a little heavy handed. If I didn’t tell you this I would be lying to you. I could give you the same song and dance you hear in radio and TV commercials. We have cheap life insurance rates, let us a shop for you.
We actually do and can, but if you don’t know why you're buying it, regardless of price, is worthless.
The Basics
Term Life Insurance pays a specific amount of money (face value is the fancy insurance term) if you die during the time period outlined in the policy.
You can buy coverage generally for one, five, 10, 20 or 30 years. This is also know as the term length.
Since the policy is only for a specific amount of time the coverage ends at the end of the term, unless renewed or replaced.
Term life insurance is going to be your most affordable option and in all honesty the most practical. The nice thing about term policies is they have the option to be converted into permanent insurance anytime.
Next Step
I'm going to take a guess and assume that a term policy is what you're looking for right now.
If that's the case, let's keep going.
